ELINA SYMEOU

Elina is a Provisional Psychologist completing the 4 + 2 internship pathway at Magnus Health. She graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Psychological Science in 2010 and completed her Honours(Distinction) at Monash University Melbourne in 2021. Since graduating, Elina has worked in diverse settings, including private practice and Government organisations, gaining a variety of skills and knowledge.

Elina has experience working in Queensland Corrective Services where she primarily supported client’s rehabilitation in compliancy to assist with reintegration into the community. She has also therapeutically worked with families going through separation with children, relationship breakdowns, family and domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse and suicide prevention.

Elina has worked with a broad range of clinical presentations including depression, anxiety, grief, clients of ethnic and culturally diverse backgrounds, and has administered psychometric assessments for schooling purposes.

Elina believes that being able to provide people with psychoeducation and understanding empowers us to live better, be better and support each other
